Guest guest
Yes, the " map " of states that are participating in the Streamlined Sales Tax Project does include Tennessee. There are only 9 states that are listed as " Observer States " (states that are waiting to see if this is successful??). I'd call your Dept. of Revenue and see what they say about it - I can't believe Kansas (my state) is ahead of everyone else in getting this started! <vbg> Judy Re:sales tax > have NOT seen or heard anything about this... is middle TN not in there? > > we sell to all 50 states, and internationally... so this is a scary thing > not to know anything about! >
Guest guest
Go into google and put in " destination-based sales tax " and you'll be surprised at what comes up. It's all over the board....some states have passed it....other governors are vetoing it. You need to contact your state department of revenue to find out what applies to you. Not good and definitely not what the federal government wants. Guest guest
I'm getting ready to send in my NYS Application for a Sales Tax Certificate and am curious what others used for their NAICS code? Maybe I need to think big, but I'm having trouble believing my kitchen qualifies as 325611 Soap and Other Detergent Manufacturing Any suggestions? Thanks!
