I like sugar scrubs because they are less scrubby.

What great timing for a scrub discussion! The dry winter air has my hands and

feet yelling for a good scrub!

For myself, I prefer salt scrubs.....the sugar scrubs are too sticky for me! For

facial scrubs I like the apricot seeds because they are finer.

I just asked my daughter and she says she likes both salt and sugar but since

she has eczema, the salt can be a bit stingy on cracked skin.

Has anyone tried grinding the salt down to make it less scrubby? I've been

tempted, but haven't gotten around to it.

That's what I was thinking. It would be great for a facial scrub, then, or for

those who dislike the " rougher " salt scrubs. Of course, one using salt for a

facial scrub would want to be sure she doesn't get it in her eyes.

I have ground up dead sea salt into powders for use as a facial mask and facial

scrubs with a coffee grinder so it is possible. you would have to just grind it

for less time if you still want it grainular.

If you have any doubts at all, either way, just ask your doctor. I can't

imagine how it could be a problem, but I would want you to feel comfortable.

ya know... a lot of people seem to think that. I also have some people afraid to

use a sugar scrub because they have diabetes. But I tell them the sugar disolves

and washes away, then suggest the salt ones if they are still a little leary.
