Guest guest
I would have to say this one terrifies me, with measles and mumps I'm willing to take the chance, I had those as a kid and I think it's pretty slim the chances of complications, so found it easy to say no to vacs, but this one if all the stories are correct looks like a real danger, and I wonder with my kids immune system where they would be if they were unfortunate enought to catch it! It feels like damned if you do and damned if you don't. Vicky
Guest guest
Yes, this is the stuff my nightmares are made of, Ali. My son in law would have my granddaughter be the first one in line. I pray they don't make enough because there is not enough Prozac in this world to calm me down if this happens. bird flu vaccines Ok, it’s all over the papers, front page of The Evening Standard in London tonight. “Everyone will need a vaccine”. This fills me with absolute horror – worse than that. It would make sense to tackle the doctors at the conference this weekend about what our best (if any) options actually are. I am so not a scare monger or a conspiracy theorist, but this seems to be a big deal. I would have the courage not to have a vaccine, and would stand firm against my children having them, but my husband would insist. Any one any bright ideas? Guest guest
Not sure about vaccines. I don't think they are actually sure if they will be effective against the bird flu. They have not been studied long enough - according to an expert on the news yesterday. However, quite scary that in 1918 the disease stopped spreading only when it ran out of people to kill. Tom and Joe have been taught to sa\y at all times (school) "get away from me with that needle or my mum will sue you!" They can recite this still from memory, Tom was 6 and Joe was 4 when I taught them When it came time for Men C at Joe's school he was the only one who didn;t get it - other kids asked him why and he told them Mercury in there made my Sam Autistic. One gilr in his class eneded up in ITU for 5 days massive seizure after high temp luckily no neuro damage. I spoke to her mum, she said she was scared of the vaccine sbut the reason she chose to go ahead was she lost her brother to Menigitis at age 10 MAndi x
