Guest guest
does it need to be a hostess? I guess I could do drag... ;-) I would be willing to host... don't remember the booklet so I'd need help on that. Hugs! > > Before we can really get the swaps off the ground, we need someone to host each of them. > > For the product swap, the host will decide the theme, and those who choose to participate will make something within the required parameters (to be decided by the hostess) and will make one for each person. Bring the items to the gathering, where the swap hostess will organize getting each person's items doled out. At the end of the gathering, you'll pick up your goodies. > > For the Yankee Swap, each participant brings a plain box of " stuff " that is worth about $10. Soap and candle supplies are popular, but sometimes people include gift items. Everyone picks a number and the person who picks #1 chooses any box to open. Person #2 chooses among any of the others, and then has the choice between #1's box and the box she chose. Person #3 then chooses a box and can keep hers or choose the box of either #1 or #2, and so one. At the end, #1 gets to pick any box of the lot. > > Again, we need swap hostesses, hint, hint. Anyone game? :-) It's an easy job, especially the Yankee Swap. In previous years, Colleen has made up a lovely swap booklet that we each get to take home. It isn't essential for a swap hostess to make one up, but it would be nice. > > Beth > www.soapandgarden.com > www.soapandgarden.blogspot.com > Be good to your skin! > > > In a message dated 05/04/09 12:50:43 Eastern Daylight Time, cdesousa5@... writes: > What do we bring for the Yankee swap??
