Hi Trinni,

Welcome, I'm new to the group also. So far, I have found everyone to be

very friendly and helpful. I've discovered new videos to try, and feel

motivated hearing about all the exercising that others are doing.

Hi, Trinni! It's good to have you here. I hope you will tell us a

little more about you and maybe give us a pic to put in the photo album.

By the way, I'm and I represent the male minority in the group.

My wife and I do tae-bo DVD's and other kickboxing type of stuff. I

also train in taekwondo.

I hope you find the group helpful. Again, welcome!

Thank you. Wow now that's a loaded question :-D. I have more than I

can count really. Currently I'm using Jari Love's Ripped 3 times a

week. In addition to cardio 4 times a week, that changes from day to

day so I don't get bored :-) and The Bar Method 3 times a week.

I have a variety of dvds. I like Sansone, Kathy ,

Crunch, The Brazilian workout with Issacs and on and on.

Hi Carolyn,

Thanks for the welcome :-). I'm currently focusing on Ripped, The Bar

Method, and any kind of cardio as long as I get at least 30 mins in :-)

Yay for the motivation. Somedays it does seem like a chore :-). I'm

always looking for new dvds (my poor hubby). I'm really looking

forward to it.

Hi ,

Thanks for the welcome. I've not really gotten into Tae Bo but I do

love the weights. That explains my addiction to the Ripped series.

I use ripped until I can sneak preview the new ones. From what I

understand she has 2 new ones coming out in October (I think), they

are called Ripped & Chiseled and Ripped 1000. I really want to try

Slim and Lean.

I will definitely post an review on the brazilian workout.

Thanks again for the welcome :-)

I have the same problem. I have such a

lust for the Turbo Jams –one day I will actually order them lol. And

every time I read a review I think – hey that sounds fun, maybe I should

try that. Well except for some of you super women and your reviews – I think

there is no way in heck I could do that, but it might be fun trying. One

day I’d like to learn to stand on my head or do more advanced yoga moves.

I also have such an envy for those of you who can actually do ball sports. A 5

year old could play better soccer than me and I’m more likely to catch a

flying star than a baseball. And I have nightmares about my last volleyball

game. And that really complicated choreography (that some of you ease

through) takes me months to learn. But even if I’m not coordinated I am

wearing a size 8 pants today – and they are my size 8 skinny pants (you

know the ones that are more a size 6 than an eight) Just goes to prove you don’t

need to be coordinated to exercise and lose inches (I blame the inches loss on

weight lifting – naughty weights helping me lose inches lol) Oh and since

I’m bragging my arms are looking pretty good now, just a wee bit more

sculpting and I will be happy. Of course then I just need to sculpt those

thighs (skinny but not nicely sculpted) and abs (I wonder if I have any abs –

haven’t seen them in years) Though my bf would cry to hear me say this, I’d

also like to lose a bit of bust, just so it would be easier to find clothes that

fit (don’t think it will happen though).

Doreen,

we just got diagnosed last month. My daughter will be 6 later this month, she

has been having (that we have documented) fevers for the last 9 months. She has

always been to the doctor for this " virus " or that. I don't know how many times

I have said to different doctors, " kids dont get that many viruses " I

understand exactly how you feel. As soon as we got the diagnosis, I thought to

myself...finally, peoople will stop thinking I'm crazy!! Sometimes still, even

after 12 episodes, I think this is just to weird to be true. I still can't

believe how many new members are on this site each week!

I'm so glad I found this site, because even with the dianosis, people don't

understand the difficulty. They say things like, " Oh well, at least its not

cancer. " Which, I am so thankful its not, I finally tell them, " Yes, we are

very thankful its not, but my child is going to miss 1/5 of their

childhood...that's over 2 years of being sick before they are 10! And that is

if they grow out of it. " That seems to make them understand that this is

serious.

Well put! Imagine an adult having something like similar-feeling,

like Strep throat or Influenza with even a measly 102 degree

fever . . . twelve or so times a year! Our kids are amazing.

Just a quick note... Our kids are amazing...

BUT please understand there are THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of adults who have

genetic PFS, like HIDS, FMF, TRAPS, NOMID, MUCKLE WELLS, Bechet's, etc who do

have these similar conditions and are worse off than our children. They have had

their PFS since birth and carry it throughout life.... THis is why is it so

important to make sure ALL of our children get COMPLETE Work ups and continued

follow ups to make sure they are not one of the many here at our site who have

been mis-diagnosed and have a genetic disorder.... known or unknown.

God Bless
