Then I was switched to 300 mg Clind daily. >I don't know what tests you have had. I have had only blood tests (I don't have the specific numbers). She has had no tests yet. I am glad that I decided to take it, though, as the side effects I have experienced don't even come close to outweighing the benefits I've gained - like being able to move without pain and chase my 3 year old. I've actually been *running* after him lately, which I haven't been able to do in months. I really believe even if the drugs negatively effect me tomorrow, I still have to live today. I have a quick question..Can using sulfasalizine for 2 years or longer finally affect the kidneys? I started having problems with my right one 1 week and one day ago. I have been bent over in pain at different times since then and the VA Hospital is very slow to give any answers or help. I go back in a coupla hours for more tests and they may keep me but I am somewhat better this morning. It does make me fuzzy headed and upsets my stomach a bit but it does not last too long. I am feeling some relief already. My back is feeling a bit better. Don't be too afraid of MTX just give it a try. I know I was scared too but I just decided if I took it and it works I would be out of pain - if I took it and it did not work I would not take it any more - if I took it and it killed me I would really be out of pain! I don't know about the kidneys... the liver metabolizes the meds and that is usually what they keep tabs on with lab work etc. Please keep us informed. I'm sorry you're having so much discomfort. After you 'hit the reply button', your computer has the ability to delete any unnecessary words. All you do is highlight the words that you do not need to send back and then hit your delete button. I'm on AOL and kept getting strange error-type messages. I've never had this problem before? Dr. Misra....could the messages in #230 be sent out again...maybe into two parts so it won't be so large that it would have to be downloaded? I am noticing that I have download files more often in download because there is too many to place in one Digest email message. I would suggest not putting more than 20 messages in one Digest, especially if some of the messages are long, so we don't have to download. Am I the only one with these problems? The doc found a problem with my sons eyes and I was immediatly sent to an eye doctor for a check up. While looking through my sons eyes with the light, the doc said that he saw a different color in each eye. The color should be the same in both eyes.apparently this is an early sign for eye disease. If not caught on time this can cause blindness. We are going to see the specialist today. I was wondering if anyone else had this??? Can MAYBE this be related to apraxia???? Guest guest Posted June 6, 2001 Report Share Posted June 6, 2001 Just had to respond to your letter.I wracked my brain when I found out my son, age 6 was apraxic and tried to find what I did.He was 7lbs. 8oz. and always was very high maintenance.I questioned my diet,my exercise,perhaps I didn't breast feed long enough ect. and haven't been able to find out any conclusive evidence that any of these things play a part in this.i do know with my research and talking with a pediatric neurologist that it is heredity and does run in families .he told me he had twin nephews one had apraxia the other did not.Now they are 15 and the apraxic one is fine.he said that if he is really tiried and or excited his apraxia comes out but most people don't know there is a problem.I thought that sounded helpful abut who knows.Anyway,I do love this group.it is great to be able to relate to other people who have the same problems.thanks for listening.Gretchen mother of age 6.
