Guest guest
>>>> A new home is plagued by mold< As I described with my " mold educated " friend who toured new homes, some not yet even finished up north of Reno, these things are moldy right down to the frames: " Couldn't live here if you GAVE it to me " . I spoke with contractors several years ago and they said " It's not our fault. The wood is not what it used to be. We have to work with what we've got, and it's just impossible to get good kiln dried wood the way it used to be. We're just doing our jobs " . Imagine all those brand new mold castles out there.Imagine living next to them.Imagine living downwind of an entire neighborhood of them. Nobody said this was going to be easy.->>>>>>>>>>>>>>> what's the answer? I see the same in Houston, new construction, rains for a week, work continues, more rain, etc. What should a home builder do to prevent mold in a new home?
