Guest guest
This is my 4th central line installed in 2 years where it wasn’t removed before leaving a hospital. It was installed due to no peripheral iv access whatsoever and the need to do some tests and get regular blood work and a whole host of reasons including fluid IVs as needed as well….It has been there 6 days. I also have an active Long-time MSRA and it only responds now to vancomycin via IV. The catheter site appears to be getting infected . watching closely. I am rejecting the stitches as usual and am allergic to all gauze and tape materials and whatnot. I will keep you all updated. The concern if we pull it is no IV access at all. I am waiting for blood work back from Dr. following Dr. Shoemaker protocol and concern that the staph infection is back in my eyes in past few days. Is CSM protocol bringing out gunk from eyes or is their relation. Drs want me to go to ER and I of course refuse due to MCS (+ always admit due to progressive MS dx); so just letting you know about this latest little issue.
