Guest guest Posted June 6, 2001 Report Share Posted June 6, 2001 First, I love the list and the sincere community among its crafters Second I have a problem...lol Im new to toiletry making and decided to start off small with an easy lip gloss recipes...the only problem is that it don't seem to be easy...lol Im making a pixie stick gloss. The recipe is 1 teaspoon cocconut oil 1/4 teaspoon beeswax 1 pixy stix (adjust amount to liking) The cocconut oil and beeswax mixed well with each other, but the pixy stick did not dissolve into the oil/wax mixture....I first melted the wax, then added the cocconut oil, and finally the candy stick. Is there something Im doing wrong? Is there an ingredient missing or the order I mixed the ingredients...Anyway my first yummy lip gloss experience wasnt as SWEET as I had hoped... Any suggestions or recipes would be greatly appreciated. Mel PS.In my previous experiment I tried using beeswax, aloe vera gel, and cocconut oil, clear spearmiment flavoring and a cake coloring. The color I chose was a mauve...when I added the color it turned a sea green...WOOOO!!! What chemical interactions are going on here?
