The mold was first detected earlier this week, and several more spots were identified on Thursday. All business at the courthouse and justice center has been suspended until the mold can be eradicated. Cases will be handled from the County Justice Center at 4000 Justice Way in Castle Rock. An Elbert County clerk will be available at the courthouse from 8 - noon and 1- 4 p.m. each day. Back in September of 2004, the same buildings were closed for several months because of mold.
