Guest guest
Hi , We are currently doing a phlebotomy aba program to get our son accustomed to blood draw procedure before we start on TD-DMPS because there is such a lot of testing involved and last time we went he freaked. We are just following a modified version of this one: http://www.asasb.org/phlebotomy.htm hth, Mark > Hi Mandi, > As far as I know you can only get the RBC mins from DDI or MM and need a doctor on board to get the kit sent to you as need a practitioners referral. We are following the min testing protocol but it still means 7 tubes of blood - anyone any suggestions how to get this amount from a normally compliant 8 year old who freaks as soon as a needle is in sight - I think our only way forward is some form of sedative - any suggestions??? > With best wishes > > Re: Re:Breakspear and testing > > > Can I just ask what tests you are talking about with stool and urine? OATS and CDSA's ? I did these of my own bat, sent to Great Smokies via somebody I can;t recall but will do if I ever recover files that got munched by a Trojan who has since been squished by reformatting my hard drive................ > > The only testing that I realy wnat done is serum or RBC minerals - Biolab anybody? > Mandi in Dorset > >
Guest guest
Hi Mark, Thank-you very much for this I will try it with Jack as we have used these ABA techniques with hair cutting with great success in the past - here's hoping!!! With best wishes Re: Re:Breakspear and testing> > > Can I just ask what tests you are talking about with stool and urine? OATS and CDSA's ? Guest guest
Hi Mark, Can't remember whether I thanked you or not for this info. We are currently working on the desensitisation in preparation for his blood draw noext week - we are making progress but I'm not certain he'll not freak when it gets to the real thing!!! Guest guest
Hi , Weve got a Jack as well, 5yrs, I'm just going to book him in for week after next. He's fine with it at home now - doesn't flinch when we pretend to stick him and does the glug, glug noises as we pretend the tube (filled with halloween blood) is filling up. fingers crossed and let us know how it goes. best wishes, Mark > > Hi Mandi, > > As far as I know you can only get the RBC mins from DDI or MM and > need a doctor on board to get the kit sent to you as need a > practitioners referral.
