Guest guest
Welcome to the group D'Ann. I am Shaye and I have been soaping for almost 10 years. Married for 25 years with two teen girls. I am just east of Rochester. What kind of soap did you just do and what went wrong? Rebatching is a great way to fix things. Just made 3 batches 2 days ago, and I made my hubby and kids come look at it, LOL. I have 6 kids, 3 of whom have left the nest and 3 of whom are still at home. Two are married with children, so you know what that makes me! I homeschooled my kids for 20 years. Guest guest
well, not getting the recipe, i can tell you that i ran it through 2 calculators and it never traced. And I decided to pour it and it was 'wet' the next day as well. I ended up freezing it, and then cutting it. It is wet and will take an extra long time to dry compaired to other soaps I made, but that's alright. I will be patient. Guest guest
That does sound odd. Your certain of the lye measurement? Or maybe too much oil? Do you use a stick blender? Good luck with it! I think that's the name of it. He sells soaping stuff. I just called to see if he'll take walkins,, nope, not normally. He just cut his hand making a log mold. Seems a very nice man. Anyway.. so will be fine. Just ugly. Green with oatmeal in it. Ugly color. Oh well.. As long as it does it purpose. D'Ann On 4/7/07, Shaye <shaye@...> wrote: > > That does sound odd.
