Guest guest
there is much controversy over this one as I do my readings .... Dr. Wallach has written extensively about violence and the relationship to deficiency of minerals in his RARE EARTHs, Forbidden Cures book. It should be r ecommended reading for all nutritionists. Knowing that so many genes turn on and off, could this obvious violence streak, found in lower socio-economic quarters, be a 'turn-on' of genes from the heavy, meat and fat-oriented, (chemcially laden/nutritionally deficient) fast food industry? Guest guest
The Luxurious Growth"It wasn’t long ago that headlines were blaring about the discovery of an aggression gene, a happiness gene or a depression gene. The implication was obvious: We’re beginning to understand the wellsprings of human behavior, and it won’t be long before we can begin to intervene to enhance or transform human life.Few talk that way now. There seems to be a general feeling, as a Hastings Center working group put it, that “behavioral genetics will never explain as much of human behavior as was once promised.”http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/15/opinion/15brooks.html?_r=2 & hp & oref=slogin & oref=slogin Sears, DCNW PDX On Jul 15, 2008, at 7:19 AM, JPedersen DC wrote:http://news./s/nm/20080714/hl_nm/delinquents_genes_dcJ. Guest guest
Nice to see they ultimately show that the environmental stressors are what trigger the genes to display delinquent behavior. Same as every chronic dis-ease. Genes are the blueprint, the environment and lifestyle choices are the building materials. Poor building materials = poor genetic expression = dis-ease. Guest guest
Carl Phieffer, Phd, MD in his original book, " Mental and Elemental Nutrients " , made the same connection years ago, in the 80's.. He was Director of the Brain Bio Center at Princeton University. He looked at violent inmates and made the correlation with elevated copper, zinc deficiency. He did some research in this regard.
