Sure, .

Freeze the oil. Once frozen, skim the top and bottoms layers... this is where

the chewy bits will either float or sink. Melt and use in the usual manner in

making your soap. [Follow all soapmaking precautions, goggle, gloves and long

sleeves, etc.]

PS: Be advised if you fondued smelly things, your soap will probably carry the

scent over to the soap, so you may not want your clothes smelling like say,

cheese balls or shrimp bits... You may want to use a strong scent like clove,

tea tree, peppermint EOs to mask the smell.

That makes me wonder if there is any way to " deodorize " the oil. . .

I've heard that if you cook some raw potatoes in it it gets rid off

some of the off flavors and therefore I would guess maybe some scents too?
