Guest guest
Sure, . Freeze the oil. Once frozen, skim the top and bottoms layers... this is where the chewy bits will either float or sink. Melt and use in the usual manner in making your soap. [Follow all soapmaking precautions, goggle, gloves and long sleeves, etc.] PS: Be advised if you fondued smelly things, your soap will probably carry the scent over to the soap, so you may not want your clothes smelling like say, cheese balls or shrimp bits... You may want to use a strong scent like clove, tea tree, peppermint EOs to mask the smell. <kbertra1@...> wrote: I have a lot of canola oil left over from doing an oil fondue ... any way to use this for soap (even if just laundry soap...) Thank for any suggestions! __________________________________________________

Guest guest
I've heard that if you cook some raw potatoes in it it gets rid off some of the off flavors and therefore I would guess maybe some scents too?
