Guest guest
What do folks think of Austin air filter machines?
Guest guest
Proper filtration of your air from a forced air furnace is a good start. If a good filter is properly sized and installed in the furnace, there should be no need for additional filters on the individual heat registers. 3M Filtrete filters can be bought at Home Depot, Lowes, and K-Mart at about $10 each. Independent small hardware stores charge a little more. Whatever you do, don't depend on simple spun fiberglass filters, which usually sell for $2 or less. Also of major significance is the furnace humidifier. These have been sold for years for their supposed health benefits. However, they can become mold gardens, and contaminate the whole system. So, if there is a humidifier, turn the water off. If there is no humidifier, the Filtrete filter will remove most mold, and the heat from the furnace will kill what little gets by the filter. I think we got approved for a new home....new to us that is. My question is what kind of filter can I use for the heater? It has forced hot air heat, those vents in the floor that I hate. What kind of filter can I use on the individual vents to help from blowing junk into my new place? I heard cheesecloth for dust but that wont stop the mold. Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks ~
Guest guest
No it doesn't emit ozone--what in the world gave you that idea. I have several and like them, wondered what this list thought of them. > > > > What do folks think of Austin air filter machines? > > > > If it emits ozone - if it is like the Ionic Breeze - then I wouldn't > advise it.
