I have two daughters, is 23 (DS-non-verbal) and (20). I am a special ed teacher and work in an elementary school. I just started work on my doctorate in inclusive education and while I know it is a lot of work, in the end I think it will be worth it. is out of school and working part-time at Publix as a bagger (3 days a week from 8-12). She loves her job and the store and employees have been wonderful to her and for her. She has been there a year and a half now and has gotten several pay raises. She was always included in school and had a great school experience (I did have to help the schools along over the years). She participates in many different activities like Special Olympics (for swimming, bowling and walking), a social group thru an agency that provides various services for people with disabilities and a small circle of friends that do things together on weekends. is a sophomore at University of Georgia (journalism major) and has had anxiety and depression issues but is doing well with medication. I got divorced last summer and am adjusting to living on my own after 25 years of marriage. lives at home with me and I can't think of her living some place else right now. I have been on this list forever it seems and love the support, advice and camaraderie it brings.
