Guest guest
Went to Walmart yesterday and found 16 oz pkg. of Blue Diamon Oven Roasted almonds with butter toffee flavor. I am going to be in calorie trouble!
Guest guest
Almond butter is absolutely the most difficult nut butter to make - they have very little natural oil. They aren't a good "first nut butter" to make. A great and unusual "first nut butter" is mixed nuts! You can find almond oil at the grocery or health food store.Adding oil would have helped. Add as much oil as it takes to get it to blend, but don't forget to use the tamper LIBERALLY as described here:/message/15200That message was linked to on our links page under the title, "How To Make Nut Butters" Blessings,Lea Ann SavageSatellite Beach, FL(321) 773-7088 (home)(321-961-9219 (cell)))><'>www.VitamixLady.comwww..com<))>< On Jan 22, 2012, at 12:29 PM, kuby2u wrote: hi all, I attempted to make almond butter. I used 3 cups almonds and put the VM to high. The result was grainy and not creamy at all. Should I have added oil? Should I have blended longer? The problem though is that it was hot when I turned off the VM. Also, can I put the grainy chopped almonds back in the VM? Kuby

I had put the gritty almond butter in a container, so I put it back in the VM and pushed down on the 4 sides like she suggested. My Almond butter is now so creamy!!
