As a mother of a son, my heart goes out to you. I don't have any personal

experience with Essiac, but it might be something for you to do more research on

to help in his battle.

was due to begin this week, today, for another 5 days. But the doctor they sent

been canceled. This doctor could have told us this 2 weeks prior but did not so

now it has snowballed into a big mess for us to sort out.

which have to be arranged since neither of us drive. I had to give it up due to

health. rides a bike everywhere.

trying to get him to cut out so much sugar. I have looked up information for

foods. I found a good book on cancer meals and it also has tidbits of good

information with most of the recipes on why this works, etc. I would like to

make full use of my Vitamix to make things for him. I am hoping we can do

nutritional things for him to help him as much as possible.

One book I love that maybe helpful is "Crazy Sexy Life by Kris Carr" It was written by a lady that got cancer young but beat it by eating a particular way. It's humorous and might provide some helpful advice. My heart goes out to your family. I have a son to and feel for what you are facing. But I can assure you we are all friends here and will help however we can.

has been fighting lymphoma for over 6 years... my parents and 's paternal

grandmother all died from cancer.

Thanks so much for the tidbits of info.. they all matter.

Gloria I am so sorry to hear that you are dealing with this and I will pray for you and your son.A first step would be to get off ALL forms of sugar, and white flour and to eliminate all sources of chemicals (in food and around the home). I'd also look into ways to speed up the elimination of toxins from his body - check out the Gersen Therapy for how they eliminate toxins. Also look into far infrared saunas. Drink lots of water (at least 1/2 oz. of water for every pound he weighs). If it were me, I'd eat only foods from scratch (no preservatives). It is amazing to me that butter from the store sits on my counter with no problems for weeks, but the butter I make from raw cow's milk turns sour. One has to wonder WHY isn't the butter turning sour???Here is a good website to look into:www.CancerTutor.com

Dear Gloria,

A 20th century European doctor, Johanna Budwig,  cured over 90% of her patients using diet. The diet takes advantadvantage pf Dr Budwog's knowledge of chemistry and how combining food alters them so the body can take full advantage of them. The Budwog diet is not particularly appetizing, but still works if conscientiously adhered to. There is a group devoted to using the diet and variations that remain within the guidelines of the protocol. The food must be made fresh and consumed within 15 minutes of preparation so you cannot buy it commercially. The group is full of happy testimonials as well as failures when someone just can't get Grand dad to eat the stuff, etc. I know a guy who was given less than 2 months to live with pancreatic cancer over 3 years ago. He is now 56. He does not have email so I sent him a book on it. He started on the diet, made sure his body was in an alkaline state, and continued his chemotherapy at M.D. Cancer Hospital in Houston. He still goes back for check ups, but does not have to take treatments anymore.

The name of the group is FlaxSeedOil2.  They have the complete diet in the files and offer each other wonderful support and prayers. Please join this group and I believe it will help you and your son.

God bless you.

I am so sorry for all you and your son's health problems and frustration about

treatment! Two things that I would like to let you know about is tumeric and

kale. A friend of mine had non hodgkins lymphoma and she had treatments all over

the US at the top cancer hospitals. And her cancer hospital in Texas told her to

try tumeric. Well, she had a tumor and started on the tumeric, 3 months later

the tumor was smaller and three months after that they could not even find it.

And a male friend of mine in his 30's had bladder cancer. The tumor was removed

and he had the TB treatments. But, the Drs. told him that is would probably come

back because bladder cancer is the most reoccuring cancer. He started on the

tumeric and has been on it for abput two years and all of his tests have come

back great, no cancer reoccurrence! Thank God! And he is going to begin eating

kale smoothies because it is a cancer fighter. So, i wish you well and hope you

can find these things helpful!

Thanks for the tips! He drinks lots of water so that is not a problem unless you

consider it makes him get up a lot at night. With my diet (I am diabetic) I have

been off of sugar, white flour for a long time. I have tried to get him to

improve his eating, but it seems it took this to make him see how important food

is. I try to cook from scratch all the time, however with my health issues...

that is not always possible. SO, doing the best we can.

I agree about the butter. My parents farmed and ranched and had some really good

homemade butter. Cant stand the store bought stuff. We mostly use olive oil

anyway now.

The website has lots of info.. will take some time to see it all. Been doing

lots of research lately.

Thank you,

Gloria

I use turmeric daily, I guess I need to share it with . Oh, I love kale.

good to hear stories of those who had success with nutrition in their health. It

is sad how poorly most people eat.

I purchase my turmeric from http://organicindiausa.com/_product_5844/Turmeric_Powder_-_1_lb Their products are amazing and very cost effective - $12 for a lb of organic turmeric which goes a long way. When you are using turmeric you want to always use a pinch of black pepper with it as it really helps it work better. Good advice. Definitely stay away from the sugars when dealing with cancers.

Gloria I am so sorry to hear that you are dealing with this and I will pray for you and your son.

A first step would be to get off ALL forms of sugar, and white flour and to eliminate all sources of chemicals (in food and around the home).

One has to wonder WHY isn't the butter turning sour???

Here is a good website to look into:

If you make green smoothies he will like them. Just make sure you put an

apple and a pear in every dose you make. You can also put a banana in there and

even an orange but make sure you put the apple and pear in there.

Use green leafy veggies. You can even put things like cucumbers and ginger in

there. I use kale now along with parsley and cilantro but your son may not like

those kinds of things in there. You can do cabbage, zucchini, and baby spinach.

There are things like celery and carrots.

You can also make him lots and lots of fruit smoothies that are high in vitamin

C. I made one with pineapple, orange, lemon and organic agava necture to sweeten

it.

I heard of doctors who do high doses of Vit C interveinously (IV infusion). He

needs to take a lot of vit C...lots and lots so supplements as well as the fruit

and veggie smoothies will help.

Here is a link to You Tube where doctors are discussing Vitamin IV therapy to

cure cancer:

http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=iv+vitamin+therapy & aq=1 & oq=IV+Vit

Since my nephew's name is , it will be a no brainer for me to remember to

pray for your son.

I'm sorry to hear this. Will say some prayers for a complete recovery. Just

bought this book for a friend diagnosed with breast cancer: The Cancer Fighting

Kitchen. It has recipes as well as tips on cancer fighting foods. She said

she's already benefitted from it. HTH!

Thanks! Especially for the prayers!

I actually have this book... downloaded it to my NOOK.. but ordered a print copy

since I was so impressed by it. I made the stock recipe from it. I used my

crockpot to simmer the broth in batches once I had the basic broth cooked the

old fashioned way. I was a long process but well worth it. It tastes great! and

loves it!

Thanks again,

Gloria

I don't have experience in this area, but there is one thing I can do. I

will pray for your son and your whole family.
