I'm forwarding this. SFA is Sustainable Farm Association. I've

mentioned this before and

just want to remind everyone about it. This is a WONDERFUL way to

find local resources.

Lake is half hour west of the cities on Hwy 12. The meeting

is being held in the

room above the library- on the SW corner of Hwy 12 and 6th across

from Cattail Corner

(garden store) and the Country Store (basic farm type store). We've

gone for the past 3

years or so and have found it to be very educational as well as

enjoyable. This year is a

potluck with MOM's ice cream and sloppy joes from Homeplace Organic

Beef (Pastured).

Hope some of you can come.

SFA Crow River Chapter Annual Meeting, Saturday, January 8, 2005 to

be held at

Lake Community Room above the Library.

The local Chapter of the Sustainable Farming Association of Minnesota

is hosting its

Annual Meeting, Saturday, January 8, 2005. This is your

personal invitation to the NEW

FOOD FARM Connection to learn about local sources for wholesome

delicious food. This is

your opportunity to meet local farmers and producers and to learn how

to make a

difference in the health of your family, your community and for

generations to come.

The EVENT begins at 9 a.m. with Registration and Set-up. At 10

a.m. the Exhibitors will be

giving brief presentations of their product or service with the story

of Mike Hartmann of

Gibbon, MN the Featured Presentation. Mike and his brother are

the founders of MOM's

Milk and serve 137 families with home delivery of dairy, meats and

eggs.

Jerry Ford and Marienne Kreitlow will present a theatrical

performance about the joys and

trials of returning to farm life, full of humor, drama and original

songs at 11:15 a.m.

followed by a Noon POTLUCK Lunch and sharing until . . . 'the cows go
