Guest guest
Where is the best place to purchase coconut oil, milk etc...I " m paying $25 and I " m sure someone has to sell it cheaper then that. Also, do we have to melt the coconut oil in our smoothies to have a healthy effect? Thanks much, Re: coconut oil vs. coconut milk The coconut oil content is 25% in coconut cream, and 17% coconut oil in coconut milk. Yes you can add additional coconut oil to the smoothie besides, but melt the oil and add before adding the cold ingredients. To get enough coconut oil I also add it to just about anything I am making. It can be blended with butter or olive oil for added nutrition also, or used plain. Guest guest
I prefer the texture of the hard coconut to the melted in the smoothies. I " m glad that it works the same. I've been purchasing Tropical Traditions. Yes, it's organic. I " m not sure how it's processed. Thanks, RE: WHERE TO PURCHASE COCONUT OIL . The coconut oil does not need to be melted if the texture does not bother you. If liquid and mixed in first before cold ingredients it just blends better. About purchasing coconut milk, what brand are you buying, and what sizes? Is it organic? How processed? Perhaps I can help you. in Mpls [mailto:praisinghim@...] >> Where is the best place to purchase coconut oil, milk etc...I " m paying $25 and I " m sure someone has to sell it cheaper then that. --- http://USFamily.Net/dialup.html - $8.25/mo! -- http://www.usfamily.net/dsl.html - $19.99/mo! ---
Guest guest
Thanks Will. Are Pat & Shirley selling the Tropical Traditions coconut oil, also? Is there are buying club located in the St. Cloud, LIttle Falls area? Is so, how can I find out more about this. Is there a local source for Kiefer grains? This has been such a joy to learn from you guys. Blessing, Re: WHERE TO PURCHASE COCONUT OIL Rebekah and I go through a lot of coconut oil and we've been buying it ON-LINE from TROPICAL TRADITIONS (www.tropicaltraditions.com). We pay about $66/gallon (in an inert plastic tub). This is the CO that WAPF recommends and it is rated in the TOP brands for quality, safety, purity, flavor and so on. This is a great price, too. Then, last week at the FOOD SWAP, PAT & SHIRLEY BROSSEAU brought a sample from their local source and we put it out for the food tasting. Everyone thought it was the best we've tasted. We are ready to switch to their brand and we'd like to be responsible for organizing a BUYING CLUB (like we do for bison, wild rice, maple syrup, sea salt, fish and other products) to make this CO available to all the Trad-Foods-MN people who want it. I'm fine being a drop site for it too. So, Pat and Shirley, how can we do this? Will PS We don't melt the CO for our morning smoothies (see recipes in FILES) as we really like the tiny pebbles of the waxy oil giving the drink some texture. We like the Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, cold pressed, centrifuge extracted, organic, from India. We especially like the flavor, aroma and texture of it. We get it from Wilderness Family Naturals, Finland, MN Call toll free!
