Guest guest Posted October 2, 2004 Report Share Posted October 2, 2004 Hi. I'm looking for a family practice doctor or internist just for a basic physical. I just like to go to make sure all is well. If something isn't, I can figure an alternative. I did have someone, but she was so pressuring about mammograms, that I stopped going as I refuse to do that. I know some people would disagree that I even need to go to a doctor, but I really do. I have had things pop up in the past that would have had serious consequences and then had them treated alternatively and then re-checked, was fine, and I was so glad I had gone in. I really need to re-check to make sure these health issues are still being controlled....but I hate going and having to practically fight with the practioner. Does anyone know of a physician who is a bit more open minded to alternative treatments, or to someone who may not want the mammogram, but wants the blood work and a basic checkup done?
