A Vitamix container placed in a dishwasher on a regular basis will soon become very cloudy white. As will all clear plastics cleaned with harsh, chemical dishwashing detergents. A little spinning on high with soapy water (or baking soda and water) will keep it nice and shiny with very little effort! :-)The Vitamix container is NSF standard certified.
