I just heard the most amazing program on the SPROUTS

program on KFAI Fresh Air 90.3 Minneapolis and 106.7 St .

The program comes on every Friday from 6-6:30 pm and covers

issues relating to healthy eating. I hope some of you heard the

show.

The topic tonight was: IS RAW DAIRY SAFE? and it explored

what they called the " exploding market " for raw dairy. They

started the show with some typical government and scientific

hacks, one of whom said there has never been a scientific

experiment showing pasteurization lowers the nutritional value of

dairy. Ahem! You never heard of the Pottenger Study, you nit

wit!!? The rest of their interviews consisted of them spewing out

ancient facts about the " horrors " of drinking something so EVIL

and so DANGEROUS.

Anyway the show then interviewed farmers and customers in NY

and Vermont who produce, sell and consume raw milk and one

could really feel a loving connection with the farm, good food and

health. People who had drank raw milk for over 3 decades

without a single problem told how their health and their lives

have changed since they went back to raw milk. Entire families

have gone years without even a cold.

The main part of the show focused on a show-down hearling in

Colorado where the officials from the federal government and

the local gendarmes were trying to shut down all raw milk sales

including those from Guidestone Farms, a farm that has sold

literally millions of gallons of raw milk without one incident of

pathogens being found.

The debate raged on and on with the health inspectors being

interviewed in the hallways on break saying things like " we want

all raw milk sales ended " and other biased positions. They

sounded like the dried out Republican neo-cons we see and

hear these days defending prisoner torture, envirionmental

degradation, economic ruin and just about everything wretched.

There was just about no way any farmer or milk customer could

possibly have a ray of hope against these close-minded lackeys.

Towards the end, the Guidestone farmer got up and explained

how grass-fed cows move all the time, live outdoors and

basically don't get the pathogenic germs that barn-bound cattle

do. he explained how raw milk has been shown in scientific

experiments to actually KILL introduced pathogens. He

concluded by listing the several hundred thousand cases of food

poisoning cases that have with pasteurized milk as opposed to

the microscopically small incidence of sickness or

contamination with raw milk.

Finally, the board voted and the result was 5:3 in favor of allowing

Guidestone to continue in their sales. It was amazing and the

crowd burst into wild appause. A small victory for good food.

The show is taped and transcripts may also be available.

Contact either Fresh Air Radio or go directly to sproutsradio.org

for more details.

I just about cried out of joy after reading this!

Just when you think that the media and most everyone out there is so

ignorant and so close minded, and there isn't much hope...

You hear about something like this!!!

Thanks for sharing Will. I needed some sunshine!
