Guest guest
Congratulations! Best of luck on your journey! I am mostly vegan, with the exception of consuming raw milk from my own well cared for cows. Please do be cautious about consuming too much of a good thing too fast! Greens are wonderful, in moderation. Too many all at once can lead to kidney stones, so just be mindful. Too often, we think that we can't go overboard with veggies, but we indeed can-something I learned the hard way! So glad you have joined us. > > After 5-years of deliberation in conjunction with a few extra bucks in birthday cash I finally took the plunge and purchased a Vitamix 5200. I've only had it for about 3-weeks, but in that short time I have consumed more greens than in the prior three years. I'm going Vegan to get my cholesterol down. I'm glad to be part of this group and I'm looking forward to learning more and more about my 5200 and how to get the most out of it. Currently ecstatic and obsessed with green smoothies. >
Guest guest
I have been reading all of the emails about green smoothies but I still haven’t tried to make one. Since you said you are currently ecstatic and obsessed with green smoothies would you share some of the recipes that you are using? I am hesitating to try to make one. in PA __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 6398 (20110821) __________The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus.http://www.eset.com
Guest guest
Hello ,The Green Smoothie recipe on my website was specifically designed to taste REALLY GOOD (I use it in shows and how could I sell Vitamix machines if it didn't taste good?)I call it a "kindergarten green smoothie" (because it is so heavy on the really sweet fruits and low on the greens). You can work your way up by lowering the sweetness of the fruits you use, and increasing the greens gradually… Blessings,Lea Ann SavageSatellite Beach, FL(321) 773-7088 (home)(321-961-9219 (cell)))><'>www.VitamixLady.comwww..com<))>< On Aug 22, 2011, at 7:30 AM, Willits wrote: I have been reading all of the emails about green smoothies but I still haven’t tried to make one. Guest guest
I did not go vegan. I only subbed breakfast and lunch with green smoothies. And my cholesterol dropped 22 points in 7 weeks! I’m due for another cholesterol check in October and I’ll report back. My doctor was thrilled because I have been refusing to take meds. Guest guest
Your cholesterol drop is very encouraging. I have also refused to take cholesterol lowering meds. Hopefully my next checkup will be as good as yours. Thanks for the information. > > I did not go vegan. I only subbed breakfast and lunch with green smoothies.
