I ordered several very expensive samples from FPI including Rose Otto. They

e-mailed me back saying they did not send expensive samples but would be

happy to send samples of anything but the very expensive ones. I changed to

cheaper ones and they sent them. I was very happy, as I can certainly agree

that it would not be in their best interest to send samples of a product

selling for thousands of dollars. They also they send the (inca?) description

with all their merchandise Jacque

Was it mislabeled as rose otto, or did they just send the wrong sample?

Inquiring minds want to know... :)

or something like that. They don't give out free samples anymore, their

samples are $1.00 each + $5.35 S & H.

Imagine people that don't know better, or can not afford to analyse the

oils. There rose otto sells for thousands and to give rose geranium in

place is big time cheating. I hope it was a simply mistake.

Hi

Yow! Good that you were able to tell the difference. Have you spoken to the

company?

I too ordered the sample of rose otto, will let you know what I get.

Good Evening Heidi,

I had it analyzed by a lab. As I mentioned before it could be a mistake,

but when we agreed for a rose otto sample, and then to have it labelled rose

otto and rose geranium inside. I like to give the benefit of the doubt,

anyways all I can say is I am very disappointed. As I distill my own

essential oils, and very rarely will purchase from suppliers, due to past

problems of purity, etc, I am even more compelled to continue distilling my

own essential oils and hydroflorates.

Have a great night!

Good Evening,

I agree it is not in any companies " best interest " to send expensive

samples, but if they want to sell these expensive oils this is the industry.

I do however feel as a matter of ethics one should be straight up about

their merchandise. As they told you they do not send samples of expensive

oils they were honest with you, unfortunately, I did not recieve the same

treatment.

You obviously know how much this stuff costs. I think you are being

ridiculous asking for a FREE sample and then slamming the company for

substituting another FREE sample. Believe me,they know the

difference........JD

As a point of information... before I sent a request

for samples I asked what they offered as samples and I

was told they would send samples of almost all of

their products, EXCEPT for the MOST EXPENSIVE

essential oils. That could explain why, when you

requested rose otto they substituted with something

else.

And thanks for the information about there now being

a charge for samples. I wasn't aware of this.

Yes, but they should not have labelled it as rose otto and tried to pass it

off as rose otto, when it came out to be rose geranium after chemical

analysis.
