I would do the same thing sometime and it seemed to be around the time of

the change in seasons for whatever reason. A month or two of severe cramping

and diareah where I would almost pass out and then back to my regular period

the next month. I would just watch and se if this is going to be a problem.

If it continues they might check for endometriosis. Just a thought.

I don't know if this helps but I had a girlfriend in high school that every

month at the beginning of her period she would end up in the nurses office

feeling sick, would throw up and go home. It was right after her period would

start and after a day or two she would be fine. I think it finally stopped

after she had her kids but when she went to the Dr. about it they had put her on

birth control and it seemed to help.

Menstral Cycle & Diarrhea?

My 16 yo with DS, Angel, has had her period since she was 11. She has

her period right now....probably finishing up today. This morning and

one morning last month when she menstrating, she woke up early, a

horrible diarrhea mess everywhere! I think she tried to make it to the

bathroom in time because what woke me up was crying....she had tripped

on the threshhold between the hallway and the bathroom and fell. She

looked ghostly white, even no color in her lips (same thing as last

month). She acted sick both times but never actually threw up. She

slept on the couch for several hours after I cleaned her up and seems

to be fine now, even wanting breakfast when she woke up. Basically,

everything was the same as last time. I realize 2 months in a row does

not make this a pattern, but I'm wondering what is going on? Anyone

have any insight? Her periods are not irregularly heavy, at least in my

opinion.

Growing up I typically got what I felt at the time was deathly ill almost the

minute I started (cramping, nauseous, diarrhea), this typically last the just

the during the first day and then I was fine.? My Mom even apologized when I had

Nick for being so hard on me during my sick day of my period as I didn't really

complain while in labor.? (She said my cramps must have been really bad because

I would beg her to just shoot me and put me out of my misery -- I didn't do that

while in labor.)? The first day of my period typically required a sick day at

home close to the bathroom at all times.? I did find that soaking in a tub with

water as hot as I could stand it helped some, but for me the crucial part was to

get through those first 24 hours.
