Hey all. So scary about the break in's, gangs, etc. Man!

Makes me feel like I shouldn't complain... ever!

But

I wanted to share: Alden is getting out of his room in the

AM. This AM was a nightmare throughout the house. I am

not getting enough sleep, have some physical issues that I

am dealing with, and feel negligent that he was out on hid

own and that I did not hear him enough to get up. I am

scared that he is going to get hurt.

The baby gate that I have is the Gerry gate, mesh. I can't

get it any tighter in the frame but somehow he is pushing

with all his might at the bottom and getting it to come out

of the door frame and crawling underneath. I am going to

have to invest in something that works but we are also

getting ready to move and I am in Army housing. I hate to

put any more holes anywhere! I am trying to clean this

place up!!!!

We have to report to Ft. Bliss Texas by Oct 1. Sooner, if

possible. DH ph will not be home until Aug 24 and the

kids start school Aug 25th. We will head to Norfolk to be

with him at the ceremony Aug. 22nd.

So I need to work hard for the remaining of this day to try

and keep Alden safe tonight, and figure out what to do!!!!

When we move to Texas, I am already convinced that I will

go to Home Depot or Lowes or some such place and take the

door OFF of whatever room we have for Alden and replace the

door with one that opens in half, with a dead bolt on the

outside that I can lock yet still see into his room. It

needs to be high enough that he cannot climb over. That

will work for his room but I need to figure out what to do

in the meantime. Money IS an issue. Joe's car just broke

down in Norfolk and we are dealing with that so I need to

go to the Thrift store Wed. to see if there is anything to

at least put another gate at the top of the stairs.

Thank goodness he did not get hurt or get out of the house!

I heard the sweeper running and I figured my girls were

doing Mommy a nice Sunday AM favor! The girls thought

Mommy was up working, as usual before church!!! It was

Alden!!!! He just turned the sweeper on and left it. The

sweeper is probably why I did not hear all of the other

things going down onto the floors as he trekked along,

rearranging our home! Good grief!

I am so tired lately. I just cannot get enough rest. I

have 40 hours a month of respite but it is all used for

Medical appointments! I need to find a way to get a little

more help around here with my little guy, so that I can

work a bit and get to bed when HE does... instead of trying

to work on some things after he goes to bed and then not

getting enough sleep myself. You know?

There is SO MUCH for me to do to get ready for this move!!!

But I know it will all happen. I am just a bit

overwhelmed at the moment.

Thanks for listening. :) Kiersten
