Guest guest
Serena, So glad your wait is over! Warning...they take forever to ship! When they say you'll get your vitamix in 10 days....it will take the full 10 days. I finally called and begged and the operator upgraded my shipping to express. I use my vitamix for daily green smoothies and hot soups. You will love it! Congrats!!! > > I've just placed my Vita-Mix order, the Deluxe package with a refurbished base! *somersaults across the room* > > LOL, I feel like I've just won the lottery! Guest guest
OMGosh! I just got my refurbished 5200 a week or two ago and I love it! I, like you, have wanted a great blender forever and it was definitely the best choice. It was here in no time...super fast shipping. Enjoy! Guest guest
Hi ,I used to tell everyone it "COULD" take 2-3 weeks, but will more than likely take a week and a half, but they have busy times and slow times. I think we are in a "slow" time right now because I've been hearing from some of my customers that they've gotten their machines is a matter of DAYS recently!!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she'll get her new baby before the week is over! Guest guest
Thank you! For a while I planned to make bread first, but now that the time has come (I'm still in shock!), I think I'll just jump into a beautiful green smoothie and work my way from there. Serena PS: I'm very close to Ohio (1-2 days away as mail carriers go), so I'm not worried about shipping. It'll come when it comes. The act of ordering the machine itself is all I care about, having finally crossed the finish line and stepped over from " wishing & waiting " to actively getting what I want and reaping the benefits of a decision well made. ) > > I've just placed my Vita-Mix order, the Deluxe package with a refurbished base! *somersaults across the room* > > LOL, I feel like I've just won the lottery! Guest guest
There's something so nice about getting something you've wanted for a long time, isn't there? Get as much "book smarts" under your belt as you can before you start using your Vitamix. You'll see, the payoff will be rewarding. Have you been to Lea Ann's site yet? She's got some very helpful videos posted. -----Original Message----- From: aurora.supernova <aurora.supernova@...> WOW, ! Yes, I'll jump into the archives right away! Guest guest
I hope so too, but I'm not sweating it because I'm just so happy to be getting one at all! I wonder which season/event is the busiest for VM besides Christmas. Mother's/Father's Day? The beginning of college? Guest guest
Here comes my mantra...make sure to read all of the instructional material and watch the DVD before turning the machine on--you'll be happy you did. Also, browse the archives and use recipes from the recipe book or from here until you're comfortable with your new "baby" and pay special attention to the order in which the ingredients are placed in the container. If you take the extra hour or so to do this, you'll have no problems adjusting to the Vitamix's power; you'd be surprised how new users become intimidated when they realize what the "on" switch unleashes! You also won't be tripping the overload protection or turning stuff to mush that you want to leave chunky. -----Original Message----- From: aurora.supernova <aurora.supernova@...> Thank you! Guest guest
Peanut butter with homemade bread sounds like a "go." I saw a demo here recently and the demonstrator used a 50-50 blend of pecans and toasted almonds that was sublime. -----Original Message----- From: <felixollie@...> Yay Serena!! Guest guest
I have no doubt about the peanut butter, . I just hope that it will be good enough for my brothers to choose it over Jif! LOL, it would probably be an instant 20-pound drop for them, they use Jif so often. Thanks for the baking advice, and congratulations. Serena > > > Yay Serena!! I'm so excited for you!! Guest guest
My intuition would be to put the pecans on the bottom because they're softer and oilier but he didn't and it blended up just fine, despite the fact that the store was chilly. The best part was that he blended up what was left in the container with ice, agave, vanilla, and some cinnamon to make a nut ice--that was delicious as well. EXCELLENT way to clean the container. ) -----Original Message----- From: aurora.supernova <aurora.supernova@...> I can't wait to put that recipe to good use! > & gt; & gt; > & gt; & gt; Here comes my mantra...make sure to read all of the instructional material and watch the DVD before turning the machine on--you'll be happy you did. Guest guest
Although not as healthy as alternatives, if you use Honey Roasted Peanuts they will NEVER want to go back to Jiff - EVER - GUARANTEED! Peanut butter made with Honey Roasted Peanuts, eaten while still warm is heaven… No, I take that back… add chocolate and it's heaven ;-) Blessings,Lea Ann SavageSatellite Beach, FL(321) 773-7088 (home)(321-961-9219 (cell)))><'>www.VitamixLady.comwww..com<))>< On Jun 24, 2011, at 11:24 PM, aurora.supernova wrote: I have no doubt about the peanut butter, .
