Hello everyone!

I want to introduce a FB friend of mine who just joined our group (Will )

by copying a post of his. I had asked his permission earlier to share his

recipe, and hadn't gotten around yet to posting it. It is such a coincidence -

JUST as I had copied his post and was getting ready to repost it here… he joined

our list!

So, I'm sorry Will that you didn't get the luxury of " lurking quietly " … ;-)

Here's Will's post:

I'm finding I don't much like the mint. The Mojito smoothie you posted a while

back has been really good, then today I finally found a store with fresh mint

leaves in stock, and I didn't like the smoothie as much. :( (Lea Ann's note -

my husband doesn't like the mint either…)

By the way, I also recreated (as best I could) one of the first smoothies I ever

had. It was a place called " California Smoothie " and they had one called " Papaya

Sunrise " . I didn't get it exactly, but pretty good:

1/3 c raspberries

1/3 c pineapple

1 banana

1 tray of ice cubes

Papaya juice (enough to make it blend into a smoothie and not sorbet)

I couldn't find papaya juice, so I bought something from Knudsen (who generally

make good 100% juices) called " Breakfast Juice Blend " .

Oh, and the place used to use raspberries in syrup, so I threw in one packet of

stevia powder.

Came out great! Next time I'll probably throw in some spinach or carrots as

well, but for the first time, I wanted to be sure if it didn't taste right that

I needed to jigger with the ingredients, not worry that the spinach or other

veggies had ruined it.

Blessings,

Thanks, Lea Ann.

I'm still tweaking, I found it worked better with 1/2 cup of each fruit (hard to

measure anyway, since I keep my fruits cut up in the freezer, so it's kind of

any approximation).

But as expected, last night I threw in a handful of spinach and 6 or 7 baby

carrots and the only noticable effect was that the lovely red color of the

smoothie turned into something one might find in a baby's diaper... but tastier.

(Well, I would assume, I wouldn't actually KNOW...)
