Dede . . . If there's anyone in this entire world who can do it, it's you! . . . Your positive attitude is incredible! . . . Most people would have thrown in the towel when the doctor sends them home to die . . .but not you! . . . You'll show those doctors up - and get your life back in return! You've come so far already. I can't imagine what you'll be like when the implants are gone! It will be time to party hardy! Hugs and prayers, Rogene

Thank you kindly ! My positive approach to living makes my heart and soul happy. I am watching the "Sicko" interview on Opra right now. It is just making my head roll.........not in a bad way though, my thinker is on overdrive again..........

Just, what about all the people, injured by medical devices, and left for a painful death, because they have no monetary means, and our medical field refuses to help, or make right, their wrong. I myself may never be able to get insurance for suppliment to the Medicare. The diagnoses I have will pretty much take care of that. What company would want to insure someone with the list of diagnoses I have? The disability helps, but it is no where near enough to cover living expenses, even living as if in poverty, muchless cover perscriptions for a patient that has heart lung liver and kidney disease, or even food. The disability medical coverage is 93 a month and it has a deductible, and only pays 80/20 of what they feel is necessary. Leaving large amounts of money owed for that 20 percent and the deductible. Doctors and hospitals dont care if you are so sick much less have no income, they still send the dogs after you for money.

I have thought of starting to send them old junk I have around here with a note stating that, " As you know, I am very disabled and unable to work..........since you adamently send me bills and collection notices, I hope you will please except this as payment towards my bill, as it is all I have.

LOLOLOL........ Ya know, taking the negatives that face people each day, and being creative, and finding ways to make "Happy" or positive one way or another. Makes a sense of accomplishment, and a smile.

Hope your week is good so far. It is pretty outside today ! Looks like rain later. Love YOU ~ Dede

That sounds awesome, I was talking to Dad about AARP today to see if he knew anything about it. He didnt, so I need to check into it. I will be 53 June 25, am I old enuf to be a senior? or do i need to check into something else? After had to stop work, I checked into continueing my ins for awhile, and they wanted to charge me 585.00 I think it was cuz of the cervical cancer I had in 95. and I didnt have an income, so that was way outta line. Thank you for the information ! ! !

I am so glad to hear about your son in law and his oppertunity, that is great ! ! I am sure your daughter will welcome the stress relief ! !

How are you feeling?

Dede, There is no qualifying for Medicare supplemental insurance . . . medical or prescription. We've found AARP's supplemental to be outstanding. It's accepted everywhere we've gone . . . and we pay only a very small deductable. Between Medicare and the supplement, it's the best insurance we've ever had. Just one of the benefits of being a senior! My daughter's hubby finished the requirements for his accounting degree . . . and has started working at the university he was attending. They want him to get his masters degree . . . so they are giving him time off work, and paying his tuition to do so! . . . Because of the courses he's already taken, and those necessary to take his CPA exam, he'll only have to take five additional classes! Needless to say, the family is very happy. I expect my daughter will do much better with the

financial stress eased. Rogene

I cant wait to see sicko ! ! is one brave man ! ! Dad is on a plan, he is anal and always on top of things. I was quoted way too much last time I checked, and now that I have cancer again in my records, that wont look good, got it all or not. I had it downloading earlier when dad came, my computer is so slow..........i havent seen it yet. I will watch it in the morning if I have time. I will be going with my daughter, and we are gonna make a cake for my dad and take him for dinner and celebrate his birthday. So, my day will be full. I will be talking to my daughter all about the surgery and all and see if she can go, then I am gonna set up the appts here then with Kolb. I wanna get this done ASAP ! Yesterday would be good for me ! !

I just got disability in December, but they back dated it. I filed 3 1/2 years ago for it. Took a long time, huh? So anyway, I have medicare. I dont take many perscriptions, I stopped most of them they made me feel toxic, what I take now would cost more to get the persc coverage than what I pay for the meds. Right now I pay 93 something for the medicare medical coverage a month. I have alittle retirement from when I worked, so I dont qualify for medicade for low income people. It is one of those you cant touch without penalties and taxes til I am 59.

Dede, I don't think you can get Medicare supplemental insurance until you're 65. However, your dad certainly should be on it. . . There's been so much on the news about both the medical and prescription plans, I don't know how he could have missed it. I don't know what's available if you're under 65 and disabled. . . It's worth checking out though. . . . My ex had some health problems . . . they wanted $1500 a month for him between Cobra and age 65. This country's medical program is broken! Big time! I'm looking forward to seeing "Sicko" . . . Did you watch the video with the message I sent earlier? . . . He's getting a lot of "atta boys" from the Republicans with this film. Hugs, Rogene

If you are on SSD or SSI, after 2 years you can get Medicare and the

prescription coverage.

Now there is a question I cannot answer, that

never came up. My son has medicare and has the

state policy for low income people, and he can

get medicare part D for drugs. He has not yet subscribed to that part.

No, I dont have medicare supplimental yet. I need to try to find one. I know when I looked for just insurance before, they wanted to charge me 585 a month, and that is next to impossible for someone without an income !

I just dont know with the diagnoses that I am labled with that any ins company will cover me. On paper I look like a huge risk. In less than 2 years, I have needed a heart transplant, have lung, liver, kidney, thyroid, pancreatitis , and a cancerous polyp in my colon. Even though I will defy everything, and rise above it all, l healthy and shining brighter than ever, they only go by what is in the paper trail. I will check into it though. It cant hurt to ask.........

I don't know how it works for Medicare under SSDI, but as a senior, every year that passes beyond the date when one can enrole and doesn't the cost of prescription coverage goes up. . If that's the case with your son, he may be better off enrolling sooner rather than later. Rogene

I think you have to wait until the end of the

year for Medicare Part D, maybe for the

supplemental also.. They will be advertising on tv all the time.

Unfortunately, the really poor will still

get the silver fillings. They are cheaper than the others and are the only ones

Medicaid will pay for.

I’m just saying that if you are poor

and bother to do something for yourself, like get food stamps or insurance,

that is all they will pay for.

They use ceramic/composite.  Please be sure to see an environmental dentist who

will have air filtering device near your face at the time of removal, use the

other appropriate equipment to shield the back of your mouth and eyes and he/she

should also use a chelating mouthwash.

Thanks,

Does anyone know a dentist in the Houston area? I'm suppose to go tomorrow

morning and now I think I should cancel. I have had them for years and wonder

how that could have affected my son while I was pregnant with him. UGH what

should I do??
