Hi,

I am new to this group. Was diagnosed in jan 97 and have been on

varying doses of diffent medication since then - with limited effect

and loads of side effects.

Interested to hear from anyone with similar problems

Hi Graham,

I too had bilateral adrenal hyperplasia and my daughter has it now.

I had a bilateral adrenalectomy when I was very small and my daughter

is scheduled for her second half, tomorrow in fact. We had cases

which were very hard to manage with meds so that has been the best

route for both of us. Treatmnet in this manner will cause you to

have Addsions disease but in our case it was the lesser of two

evils. This is not a treatment supported by all doctors. In fact we

have spent the last three years advocating that it would be the best

treatment for our daughter and probably would not have even suggested

the surgery had I not had it myself. W
