You are exactly right. Salt is life. But too much is early death. The choice

is always an individual thing but if you can control BP with diet why take

drugs?

Recommend you get the DASH diet book and read the science and then decide.

There is old pig research that clearly shows if you want your pigs to gain the most fat you have to provided them with extra salt.

May your pressure be low!

I should have said that an old farmers trick is to make animals drink more

before they go to the slaughter house as the farmers used to be paid by

live weight. I have a feeling the payment now is for carcass weight but it

is a long time since I had much to do with hands on farming. My

Grandparents farmed and when I worked in public accountancy practise when

training I was a farm specialist.

Now I just push paper around for the government of course........ better

than milking goats on these cold morning though!

It isn't even as cold as freezing here - just that icy, damp, and salt

laden wind.
