Watching your videos, I am shocked to learn you have only been VM

for 4 years! I love the way you interact with your patrons.

Thank you. Not to brag or anything (well, ok, I'm bragging) but my very FIRST show I broke the store record for sales :-) I know is was more due to my "teacher" abilities than to my knowledge of the machine back then. I don't consider myself a sales person - I'm a teacher and I'm educating my audience about what the Vitamix can do (it sells itself once you know…)I used to teach High School History…

I think the teaching part is important. I had my Vitamix for years and just used it as a "blender". Once I learned to use it for so many other things it became indispesable. Once people realize it's more than just a blender they can justify the cost.

Get a bag of chips and make the Pineapple Salsa (or use mango).

I expect to see demos with unusual stuff like hand cream with a free hand massage.

Home made dog food.

etc

Hey, the "selling ice to eskimos" sales approach has never been the ideal. A good salesman knows his product(s), determine's his customer's needs, and tries to fulfill them honestly and with integrity. And for this type of sales, it's necessary to pique your audience's interest and get them thinking that maybe their lives will be enhanced by owning a Vitamix. You do a great job on all counts. :)

Just be careful--it seems that it's pretty easy to overblend salsa. I think there's a discussion about it in the archives.

Re: My first smoothie....

Thanks,

I can't wait to make some salsa... I know it's going to be superior to jarred... :)

Do you know how many times I have wished you could come to northern

CA to "teach" the VitaMix, so I could bring a few of my friends to

hear you? Every time they have a demo here, I make comparison to

your videos. Sorry but they just don't measure up to you.

I had an older vita mix over 15 years ago, and didn't use it to its potential. Didn't have these you tubes and email lists to help motivate. It sure makes a difference. I like

This machine better too. 5200
