Guest guest
I've only had my 5200 one day but I believe the correct solution is to drop the speed to variable 1-2 and run for say 30 seconds to get rid of the foam. Guest guest
Try running it on a low speed (variable 1-4 ish) for a few minutes maybe? On Wed, Mar 2, 2011 at 12:49 PM, only1azz <only1azz@...> wrote: MY SOUPS KEEP COMING OUT FULL OF FOAM FROTH, I CANT STAND IT! Guest guest
Please go to the homepage and from there to the Vitamix lady site--Lea Ann covers this in depth; I also read somewhere that starting with hot liquid helps. Bear in mind that foam is just air bubbles and even without Lea Ann's method, they're going to pop eventually. We all have our own standards, of course, but I can't imagine dumping something because of foam. FOAMY SOUPS MY SOUPS KEEP COMING OUT FULL OF FOAM FROTH, I CANT STAND IT! Guest guest
In addition to Lea Ann's tips, keep in mind that using non organic produce often can produce a foamy soup, as the pesticide residues and waxes can create foam. It can also be reduces by sprinkling a TOUCH of baking soda on top after it has foamed, and/or skimming off the foam. I personally love the foam, but can't reproduce it as I grow organic veggies that usually don't foam. From: <kareningotham@...>Subject: Re: FOAMY SOUPS Date: Wednesday, March 2, 2011, 1:17 PM Please go to the homepage and from there to the Vitamix lady site--Lea Ann covers this in depth; I also read somewhere that starting with hot liquid helps.
