Yay, yay, yay Stasia!!! Misery truly loves company. Yes, it is

going to take some research, for instance, what the heck is a Narrow

Grip, Semi-Supinated Pull-up???? I will have to make some

adjustments- for instance I don't feel comfortaable doing behing the

neck presses and I can't do chins (who CAN do 90 pull-ups anyway) so

I will be doing the pulldown machine. I'm going to start Sunday,

how about you?????

I'll do it, too! I printed it out last night. I'll start Friday.

Why am I not surprised ; ) Only you, Lynda, only you! I'm going to go

for some high volume in a couple of weeks, but not just yet. Have fun

doing those squats : )

Maggie!

If I didn't know how much you were enjoying your heavy lifing phase,

I would twist your arm to join in! I'm sure you will be dying to

jump in once we report on how much fun we are having!!

Lynda,

Do you mind if I ask how this went for you or did you survive? I am

starting to get bored with the BFL way & was looking at the file you

uploaded about this. It looked interesting. I am still in my 1st

challenge & will see it through to the end but I am starting to

research alternatives for C2. I used to do weight training when I

played Volleyball in high school so I am not afraid of soemthing

like this. That is unless you or anyone else had a horrible

experience.

Thanks for the inspirations!

I actually REALLLY liked GVT. I had to modify it by cutting out the

back and shoulder work due to stupidly trying to lift too much the

week before I started. I have done some horridly high-volume

training in the past (sets of FIFTY squats) so this didn't seem too

bad to me. Don't get me wrong, it is high volume, it is challenging

and it will wear you out. I know I saw some strength increases over

the 4 weeks but I don't have my records with me. I was constantly

sore and at the end of the 4 weeks I was tired!! Definitely don't

try to push it past 4 weeks. I actually can't think of anything I

didn't like about it, but I really am a high volume freak. Let me

know if you have any other questions!!

Oh, and if you've never done Front Squats, get one of these!!!

Thanks for the feedback. I had to read that page to figure out what

the heck they were selling! But I can see where it would be a relief

to have that. I would probably have to modify GVT a little as that I

have a Bowflex that I workout on. I love it! I have the squat bar &

Lat attachment so I have no excuses for not working on any part of

my body. I really felt like I got a slow start on my challenge

trying to get comfortable with how much to lift. After about week 6

or 7, I was upping the weight like a fiend. Not too much with a

nagging shoulder injury (looking into acupuncture) & long time bad

knees (building up my thighs are helping!). I can't see any results

yet but my hubbie says he does. I may ask for a little help in a few

weeks when I get serious about the change in routine & start putting

it to paper.

Thanks again,

Sue
