Guest guest
Hi We had multiple doctor appointments today in Kansas City so we spent last night up there. All of the appointments turned out good. In Feb. and are going to have some much needed dental work at Children's that the dentists around here can't do. 's Dermatology appointment went well too. His acne is improving. had a good JRA appointment. The doctor has backed off the scary drugs for now for the arthritis (methetrexite and enbrel scare me and to death). I was thinking and praying a lot lately about what to do about his arthritis. And I thought, why not go back on what he was originally on (Napersen). He got sick to his stomach once in 1998 after taking it and we had him taken off it. But heck that could have been a flu bug or something he ate at school or who knows. So we are going to try the Napersen again for three months. After the appointments we celebrated with lunch at their favorite Chinese restaurant downtown and then drove east of Kansas City to Gardens, the Kansas City Botantical Garden. It is really nice at Christmas. We got Mom some (MORE) presents there. On the way up to Blue Springs Sunday we stopped at Laynesville School, an old one room 1904 schoolhouse in Co., Kan. The kids got to make Christmas tree ornaments, write letters to Santa, and do a lesson/drawing on an old slate. It was a lot of fun. , who is becoming quite the young man (about ready to shave) was very enamored of the young lady teacher/guide at the old school. Hope everyone's doctor appointments are going well. Dad to , Kristi, and (all three Down syndrome) and (Cri du chat) Husband to C. in Mo. Uncle Daddy to and in Calif.
