OT- FIL Update

November 1, 2004

Well I spoke to a little bit ago. He said his dad is in good

spirits, but is in quite a bit of pain. He's got a fist-sized knot on

the back of his head (above the staples), and a grapefruit sized lump

near one of his elbows. A nurse got him up out of bed today to stand

up, but he couldn't get up on his own. They still don't know if he's

going to have to have surgery for his pelvic breaks, or how many bones

he actually broke in his back.

Even though they didn't want to admit it, both his parents were glad

to see him. already has one of his friends that's going to

finish the roof his dad was working on. Since his heart attack his

mom won't let him do anything physical, so she said he couldn't do the

roof himself.

Talk about superwoman- His mom is amazing in the way she always does

stuff for others. Every year for his Halloween dinner has had

his moms homemade potato soup. He complained last week that this

would be the first year he didn't get it. Guess what his mom got up

early this morning and made so he'd have his potato soup for dinner???

She is a truly amazing person, always putting others before herself.

She's the most giving, selfless person I've ever met.

Well anyway, that's the update as I have it so far.
