Is this the JAMA test that I've read about - should we/can we be asking

doctors to do this test on us?

Yes I did, sorry for not being more forthcoming.

The links you sent really did help, there was info there that helped me

understand a few things going on in my life health-wise.

Thanks again!

I got some statistics.. but i couldnt get them all.. 300,000 in the US is way

off.. because a majority of that statistic refers to kids who get a reactive

arthritis from an infection and it goes away after 6 months to a year

JRA- 50,000

Pediatric Lupus- 15,000

Juvenile Dermatosis- 5,000

Scleroderma- 7,000

I couldnt get the statistics on Juvenile Ankylosing Spondylitis, Rieters, or

Psoriatic

Thanks, .

The reliability figures that are touted, are usually about cochlear

implants in general, not specific models.

As someone has pointed out before, if one company has got 80,000

implants in service/use and they have a reliability level of 98% of

them still working OK, thats infinitely better than someone who has

1500 C.I.'s in service/use and also uses the 98% figure. Those

figures and percentages arent meant to represent anything, other than

to make a point.
