Guest guest Posted April 5, 2006 Report Posted April 5, 2006 Dear Doctors: By now all of you should have or will receive our newsletter. I trust it answers all your legislative questions. Any comments; good, bad or indifferent? Many of you expressed that we should have unity in this state; I have tried it twice and both times it did not work. All we had was a working legislative agreement, and that was broken, not by me or ODOC. If you like what ODOC has been doing in the legislature and what we stand for come join us. I need your help getting positive legislation past. Together we can make a difference, your patients need these changes and so do you. Just because the offspring of a donkey and a horse does not want to work with us that is not reason enough to do nothing. ODOC has put everything on the line for this profession. The members of our association are ready, willing and able to make changes with your help. In Salem on April 22nd & 23 rd is going to be a real Chiropractic Conference with no medical presenters. Drs. Sid and Nell will be there on Sunday go to our web sight for more information: www.chiropracticconference2006.com. Yours Truly, Setera Quote
Guest guest Posted April 6, 2006 Report Posted April 6, 2006 I was going to hold my tongue but I saw this movie where a guy suggested that in 100 years we'll all be wormfood so we should " seize the day. " Hence: Re: > Just because the offspring of a donkey and a horse does not want to work with > us that is not reason enough to do nothing. , You are in violation of the listserve grammar and syntax rule. Repeat offenses will lead back to Mrs. Durfangle's " composition and grammar class of horror " . Worse, you are in violation of the listserve collegiality rule. (Collegial; adjective, from the Latin words " call " meaning to yell out; and " agel " meaning smarter than hair gel). Posts which attack another doctor's character aren't simply disrespectful, they're mean. Not that Vern needs protection. He carries his integrity and class with him which is why he should continue to represent our voice in Salem. Intimidation won't work on this listserve and pejorative statements intended to denigrate fellow chiropractors will only earn more of the disrespect for ODOC already held by most Oregon chiropractors. Re: Spring newsletter: You should call Dr. MacFadden for some help. Your newsletter may contain valuable information but the articles are so long and the format so boring, that it is nearly unreadable. The verdict might be " indifferent " . ( E. Abrahamson, D.C.)
