Hi Diane!

The BEST dog treats are sliced liver either dehydrated in a dehydrator or

cooked in a low heat oven until crisp, then broken up into little pieces.

All naturale and the dogs go absolutely ga-ga for them (cats too)!

I hope your dog is doing better! :-(

HTH!

Thank you.

The problems with liver (and other organ meats), are 1) high in protein,

maybe too high for some dogs, 2) since they filter toxins out of the blood,

as toxin laden as our environment has become, I'm not sure I trust their

safety and 3) the focus of my company is herbs. I'll consider adding them

to my line - I want to do some research first. For now, I want to focus on

herb related, healing products. Though I am considering adding both peanut

butter and molasses cookies <grin>.

Our bigger dog seems to be responding to his new medication for arthritis.

I'm looking into an herbal biscuit to help him. Our little guy is still at

the vet. I understand he doesn't like to be left alone (like that's news?),

and barks until someone comes over to pet him. Today is day two out of

three. After he's been on the IV for 72 hours they'll retest him to see if

the toxins in his blood are back down. If they are, it will then be a wait

to see if they go back up, or if the kidneys heal enough to do what they

need to. Needless to say, I'm looking into an herbal biscuit for THAT as

well. I'm not thinking about what it will mean if the toxins don't come

down.

Diane, I don't have dogs but I did, and I currently have hedgehogs

so I am going to add what *I* would suggest for them :) I'm sure it

would work for dogs just as wekk. My critters suffer from dry skin,

especially in the winter. I like to actually use a simple

oatmeal/milk bath for them with some chamomile flowers in a little

sack. Why not something like that for dogs? I like to squeeze it

out over their backs during bath times and it really helps to soothe

irritated skin, espcially if suffering from mites or something

similar.
