It REALLY surprised me to hear that my sister-in-law, Brandee, LOVES

patchouli. She is a BIG fan of Yankee Candle's " Midsummer Night's Dream " ~

that black candle that I never buy. LOL! :D She bought a few of the votives

when they were here visiting. Anyway, I've heard that if you combine

patchouli with something like vanilla to soften it up, it's actually pretty

cool. But I don't know. I have used a lavender-patchouli soap before that's

awesome ~ I totally love it. But patchouli on its own ~ yuck!!! [Apologies

to those of you on the list who like this fragrance!] Oh, and my parents

don't like sandalwood at ALL. I have to say that it's kind of an " ick " for

me, too ~ unless I just haven't smelled a GOOD sandalwood soap. I have to

admit, though, that I *love* Bath & Body Works' " Sandalwood Rose " shampoos,

shower gels, etc. That just is heavenly together.

OK, I'm off to be crafty tonight. I'm making some patriotic soaps and

goodies for a friend of mine [we're in a swap together through a group

called Craftoholics - it's through , and if you want any

information about it, please let me know], and I'm also making some bath

teabags tonight. Hope they turn out well!
