1lb. Shea

1oz. Avocado Oil

1/2oz. to 1oz. Scent

Hi all!

I find these proportions interesting. In looking around, I've seen many

recipes for body butter that were about half butter and half oil. I just

made some with half shea butter and half apricot kernel oil and it came out

fine.

I would like to try this recipe to and compare it to what I made, but won't

have the time for awhile. In the meantime, me thinks there's some larnin'

to be done here. Bill, can you tell me why you use so little oil, and/or

why others use so much?

Whipped Shea...

Shaye;

My sister took notes Bill's Whipped Shea is:

1lb. Shea

1oz. Avocado Oil

1/2oz. to 1oz. Scent

Start with shea whip till softened up little add Avocado oil, and

whip more and when shea has doubled its volume add fragrance, whip

till well incorperated, and walla!

P.S. I think the Tanning butter was the same except you replace Shea

butter with Coconut Oil 76 degree; though he did say 92(or96)degree

was better standing up to high temps of summer.

Diane, I think this is the beauty about it is that you can design the

porportions for whatever suits the need or desire.
