You were missed. Pamela Thanks, Pamela! I certainly plan to be there next year! I missed talking to you and seeing everyone, too. You are right about the considerable time and expense that people put in to make this great event happen! Sounds like we have some great new members of the group, too. The whipped shea that Bill demo'd sounds heavenly. Bill-did you do the heat/freeze cycles, or at room temp? I've only made whipped shea with the cycles, but haven't had the light, frothy texture that it sounds like this formula creates. Can you share your process with the people who couldn't attend? Thanks!! :-) Carol J

I did at the gathering, and it still was a bit watery. I was also using my newer slower mixer. A really fast high speed one will help with making a frothier lighter texture. An older Kitchen Aid is the one I use here. I take 1lb of shea and add 1oz avocado oil, put it in a plastic container, and mix on high speed for a minute or two. If it melts too much during the mixing, I will pop it in the freezer for about 1 minute and then start mixing again. I'll add any fragrance just before it looks ready to be done. When I get my Shea Butter (in mail) I'm going to use the Egyptian Musk....in my whipped Shea. > Bill-did you do the > * heat/freeze cycles, or at room temp?
