Goulash and More

What a great topic for these dismal snowy days. (If one more person says

they LOVE snow you'll find them dead in a ditch!!!)

In our house goulash is called Yuck and only can make it. I guess

it's an old family recipe using old family ingredients like ketchup and

condensed tomato soup. I refuse to eat it but the kids always request it

when they are home. I have PB and J.

My goulash must have lots of Hungarian paprika, like 1/4 cup. Also green

and red pepper and homemade pasta. It is not for the faint hearted. A

nice crisp salad and hot garlic breadsticks finish it off nicely. Pumpkin

cheesecake would make a great, " light " dessert, don't you think?

By the way, I've had to give up the soaping business, at least until

July. The fibromyalgia has been triggered big time by the cold and damp

weather. All activity except work is canceled. I am in a clinical

depression as a result and am seeking help every week for that. My meds

are pretty heavy duty making it hard to make even the easiest

decisions. To top it off, the auto immune system is screaming and letting

in every bug and virus that comes anywhere near me. Colds, flu. Right now

I'm fighting the second sinus infection in three weeks. And so it

goes. There must be an end somewhere. Maybe when Spring comes.

Thanks for listening to my gripes. I just needed to whine.

Keep warm,

Lizz
