The funniest thing just happened. A friend that I work with called, she had

been looking at pics at www.al.com of the storm. She saw pictures of damage in

Bayou La Batre, Alabama, and couldn't believe there was really a Bayou La Batre.

She loved the movie Forrest Gump, but figured the town was fictional. (Bayou La

Batre is where Bubba, Forrest's friend was from, and where Forrest started his

shrimping business). She was amazed to see it wasn't. And then I told her I

went to high school there, she was even more amazed. Of course, the movie

wasn't filmed there, but the town is definitely real.

Just a funny thing!

LOL...that is too funny! I wonder how many " Bubba's " really live there?

LOL! You never know what you'll find here in Alabama! We're just full of

surprises.
