Guest guest
Ummmmmm ... well, what benefits do I seek from soap? Moisturizing, cleansing .... I do both HP and CP, and I haven't noticed anything " missing " from my soap, LOL! If it didn't clean or moisturize, I'd be using Ivory, I guess As far as healing properties, I focus on salves and balms for those. Guest guest
well I sure hope that gal on ebay knows what she is talking about because I'm a HP soap maker my personal opinion is I wouldn't think that it would kill any benefits, but I could be wrong ! sure hope someone has an answer for us LAura IN WI Colleen ston <countrymeadowcreations@...> wrote: Is it true that the heat from hot process kills some of the benefits of the oils in the soap? I've read that on a couple of ebay auctions. Of course it was on an auction that the person was selling cold process. Just curious! Don't you think that the saponification process has killed anything that is going to " die " ? How much more " killing " can the heat do? How much more " killing " can the heat do? LOL, that's what I was wondering! I'd never heard that stated before and since my main focus has always been mp I was just curious. I used the same recipe for hp & cp and I didn't notice any difference in the way it lathered, cleansed, or moisturized. Only differences were the looks of it & how long I had to wait to use it! LOL! Thanks for your responses! I just didn't know if I'd missed something.
