Yes! What is happening is this. It's mating season for robins. The

male robin sees another male robin in the reflection of the window,

thinks it is competition for his territory, and attacks it. He will

do this over and over, as long as he can see the reflection.

We tried various things to remedy this. Closing the blinds works, but

who wants their blinds closed all spring? He only comes back when you

open them, as you discovered. Try taping random sheets of paper in

the window, to change the appearance of the window to the bird.

What worked the best for us was finding a nice picture of an owl, and

printing pictures of that to tape in the window.

It still didn't end all attempts by the hormone ridden silly bird

though, although it ended most. The only thing that really works is

the end of mating season.

Really strange...

There is a robin (bird) that keeps bumping into the windows on my deck. It

sits on the post then fly repeatedly into the window. I closed the blinds,

it goes to a different window.

Any clue as to what is going on???
