Guest guest
Hi! I'm one that has been around for a long time but rarely posts. Thanks for prodding, ! I'm Sandy, single mom to Clara 28, Elena 25 and Ramona 21. Ramona is my child with down syndrome and the only one still living at home. Clara is married to Matt, with one child, the lovely , 3. Ramona, where to start? She is just great! She's in her last year of high school (thank heavens, I'm more sick of school than she is), and a talented artist. She participates in special olympics, and is a movie addict who feels the need to spread out a variety of videos out around her while she watches. Why does she do this? I do not know, but I'll bet many of you can relate. I work for a local city Parks Department, running their programs for specials needs individuals. I'm proud of the programs I have responsibility for, and love the fact that if I see a need that should be met, they will find a way to allow to meet that need. I also write, and am in the process of putting together a book of short stories with a group of wonderful women that I met online. I also have another writing project that I'm working hard on, what I hope will be a series of small non-fiction books. I keep a blog (online journal), feel free to stop by! There are lots of pictures of Ramona, the rest of the family, or whatever else interests me. I have a digital camera and love to use it. A lot! Here is the link to the journal: http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=Rouxlette_Wheel If it is not clickable, just copy and paste it into your browser. If you stop by, please sign my guestbook so that I know you've been there. I highly recommend blogging, and if you feel so moved, it is easy to set up your own account. It's free and there will be no spam. My latest entry is about our annual visit to the cardiologist, where we got the amazing news that Ramona's heart is in the best shape of her live, actually better than last year. I took pictures of the visit, and those are posted there, too. Love you all, Sandy <<<Since things have been quiet, let's do introductions again. For those who haven't been here when it's been done, you can introduce your whole family with a blurb about each one. You can also give your location - and please include your child with DS's medical issues - others may be lurking and prefer private emailing. >>> -- S2 " Once in a while you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right "
