Well, tell me more -- what happened before he hit? If I could initiate some

sort of fill in the blank sheet maybe that would bring me more info. I did

write back the other day asking for more info since can't tell me

about his day so I got a little more info but I'm still wanting a little more

detail.

I've often wanted more information too on Nick's communication sheets. I

have succeeded in getting some, but not always. I think a big problem is that

many times the staff isn't aware of what happened prior to the inappropriate

behavior or aren't focused on it as a possible reason for the behavior. I

have stressed at all Nick's IEP meetings that the communication sheets are NOT

to just contain what he does wrong during the day, but are to contain tidbits

of his day both good and bad.

Any professionals out there have ideas on how we parents can request a

little more observation on the prior to incident behaviors without coming off

sounding like we are making excuses for our child's inappropriate behaviors?

Thanks!

I sent in ABC sheets, I have either made them myself or printed them out

online and asked the teachers to fill them out every time there is a

behavior...otherwise, there is nothing to talk about because we don't know all

the details.

I have to push it, but I will.
